as of january 26, 2009 until february 14, 2010, we live
in the year of the ox, under the element of earth,
symbolizing prosperity through fortitude, good fortune
through hard work, so: sleeves up, boots off and dance!
the fifteen days lasting new year celebrations will last
till lantern festival on february 9, so in case there are
no fireworks available, here are three mixes of mine,
freshly uploaded, ready to spark the skies with thunder:
- A Satyr Satellite
- Korsakoff 44% with Lime on the Drops
- Upon Approaching Andromeda ...

all mixes are psychedelically tranced
details and such to follow separately
Crystal 14 - White Rhythmic Drop
We mesmerize in order to love
Embracing euphony
Processing the seal of dance
With eccentric tones of rhythm
Guided by our own smiles doubled
We are all galactic sense nodes .. exciting each other

The Year of the Ox
A Divine Dance around the Sun

carelessly, a planet revolves
turning but a small wheel
inside a larger
sing dance laugh and love
cry fight scream and hate
the annual celebration
of the return of the sun
is hung over the moods of men

new shadows cast fresh darkness
across the solar satellite's surface
dousing the faint lights of its history
fractal geometry reiterates
space and time like a hologram
from which mankind fails to escape
staring at a radiant horizon
ignoring to evolve in the present
the past will eternally pervade the future
yet as awareness awakens
change, the universal constant
continues to connect consciousness
all and ever, here and now
create sustain destroy recycle
nurture nature, expand the divine mind
live love learn let go
dance from birth to death
let's go

freakuently unanswered questions
? what is Satyr
! in ancient times, Satyr was the messenger of the Eleusinian forest god Dionysos. He stalked the youth of nearby villages and attracted them with the hypnotizing music of his magic flute.
After following him into the forest, the crowd was offered the brew of Dionysos, which made them fall into trance and perform the Rite ov Dance, rhythmatically reaching higher levels of joy, guided by the Divine Groove, powered by the omnipresent life energy of Gaia.
? where is Satyr
! in our common present, the forests are nearly extinct and Dionysos has grown shy and more careful where to share his brew. In these times, the spirit of Satyr inhabits the body of a human boy, born and raised in the concrete jungle of Amsterdam.
? does he still play flute
! the Panflute has become an artefact in captivity, held safe and sound in the archeological archive of the Vatican, never to hypnotize innocent adolescence again. Searching for a new way to spread the vibe of the forest, Satyr switched to SL and CDJ instruments, which fit the job quite nicely.
The chosen vibe for the Rite ov Dance is carried by Psychedelic Trance, a style of music that can raise enough hairs on a person's back to grow old Dionysos a brand new five foot beard. Yet to give both brain and feet a rest from the dance, Satyr has developed an equal skill to Chill Out.
Onward and outside Eleusis, Satyr played music whilst Dionysos stirred his brew in: Belgium, Brasil, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Slovakia, USA and all over the Netherlands; a few memorable events being:
VooV (germany), Universo Paralello (brasil), Dance Valley (nl), Q-Base (germany), Club A (brasil), Amsterdam Dance Event (nl), Wanted 13 (brasil), Senseblender (belgium), Amon Horus (belgium), Empathy (nl), 9 Lifes of Hofmann (nl), Children of the Fluo Forest (nl), Trance Buddha (nl), Pi club (berlin), Het Ballonnenfeest (nl), Burning Man (usa) and many more, in- and outdoor since 1995.*
