How to dance ...
"Somehow humans invented this trick
of synchronizing group activity"
Rhythmetrically synchronized group activities will usually lead
to the dispersal of a certain collective somatic adaptation
to the atmospheric transformation by amplified sound
amongst the gathered dancing crowd
or summed up in another high-ku:
ripples in a pond
like ducks, floating up and down
after a stone's plunge
But even ducks, when learning to fly
will have to take off from the ground first (*)
so it's best to get adept to that foot stompin'
before reaching out to cloud nine and beyond.
I never took part in an active process
called "learning how to dance"
- just closed my eyes and let the music do the rest
until I ended up poking other people in the eye
so I learned to go at it blindly
only when dancing outdoors.
The one process of dancing
has verbalized itself to me
some time ago, as follows:
music plays the body
like an instrument
that takes the mind
into trance
Other than that, apart from sex, dancing seems to be
the best physical experience to share with one another,
whilst revolving'round the Sun on this blue-white-green rock.
So before I start drifting off ... let's dance!
