Temporarily, for good - who knows? Be here now.
Yesterday was a choice, tomorrow does not exist.
Yet to drop less verballistics on an uncertain
goodbye, I would rather s(w)ing it in tune with

Korsakoff is the alternative music club in Amsterdam, born in last millennium's late 80s. In addition to offering their traditional blend of rock, metal, goth, drum-n-bass, industrial, ebm, techno, wave, electro and grunge, they are hosting the local psychedelic trance hangout, every Thursday night.

Dionysos - God of Intoxication

Dionysos (translated into Latin as Bacchus)

son of Zeus and Semele, lord of life and death;
accompanied by centaurs, ipotanes, maenads and satyrs;
god of intoxication, wild nature, fertility and mystery;
inspirer of good times, ritual madness and ecstasy;
frequently underestimated as a mere god of wine.

Ancient Athens dedicated two festivals, Dionysia and Lenaia, to Dionysos. Initiates worshipped him in the Dionysian Mysteries, which may have functioned as the precursor of the Orphic Mysteries and Gnosticism, and stood second only to the Eleusinian Mysteries. Also the more recent movement of Christianity, with its similar traits of resurrection and Life after Death, may have some of its early roots in these rituals.

The Eleusinian Mysteries

"Blessed is he who, having seen these rites, undertakes the way beneath the Earth. He knows the end of life, as well as its divinely granted beginning."

Eleusis, a sanctuary near Athens where secret initiation rites were held for more than two thousand years in ancient times - the Mysteries of the cult of Demeter (the Divine Mother, goddess of Fertility) and Persephone (her daughter, goddess of the Underworld). Initiates were offered a powerful potion called Kykeon to be united with their goddesses of worship. Even though the original site has been destroyed in 395 AD, the road to Eleusis is still travelled frequently.
