WAR NO MORE - III: A Global Consciousness
"You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say:
Look at that, you son of a bitch!"

Our global village* of wondering wanderers,
a rocky, shallow shoreline of the cosmos*,
where we ask and bask in the solar surf
as we ride and bide the tides of time.
Overpopulated as some regions may seem,
this terran beach does welcome all of us.
Unevenly distributed as food may seem,
Earth provides nutrition for all.
We cannot continue to create diversion
upon division on an indefinite scale.
Some mistakes serve to instruct,
others serve as lifelong life lessons.
One day we may truly agree to disagree
and nevertheless shake hands in peace
without yet another relapse to war.

for as long as we choose to become
divided, opposed and prodded like cattle
.: celebrate the difference - embrace similarity :.
